The standard out-patient consultation fee is ₹600. Follow-up visits within a defined window are charged at a reduced rate.

Surgical procedures, day-care interventions, and investigations are quoted separately and depend on the hospital where the procedure is performed (CARE, KGH, Apollo, Medicover or others). A transparent, itemised estimate is shared before any procedure is scheduled — no hidden charges.

Dr. Vidyakar consults fluently in Telugu, English, and Hindi. He believes that patients understanding their condition in their own language is half the treatment — diagnoses, options, and risks are always explained in clear, jargon-free terms.

Dr. V.V.K. Vidyakar Veeramallu holds MBBS, MS (General Surgery), and MCh (Urology) — the highest-level surgical super-specialisation in genito-urinary surgery in India. His MCh in Urology was completed at Andhra Medical College, Visakhapatnam.

He has over 8 years of dedicated urological practice and his surgical portfolio includes:

  • 1000+ renal transplant surgeries assisted, with 14 performed as primary surgeon at KGH
  • 500+ advanced laparoscopic urological procedures
  • 200+ AV fistula creation surgeries for dialysis patients
  • Hundreds of endoscopic stone surgeries, RIRS, PCNL, and TURP procedures

He is a lifetime member of the Urological Society of India (USI), SOGUS-AP, IASMPMM, and a member of the American Urological Association (AUA).

Please don't ignore symptoms that affect the urinary tract or male reproductive system. Common reasons to consult include:

  • Blood in urine, pain or burning while urinating, recurrent urinary infections
  • Frequent urination at night, weak stream, difficulty emptying the bladder
  • Sudden loin or flank pain, suspected kidney stones, fever with urinary symptoms
  • Lumps, swelling, or pain in the testis or scrotum
  • Erectile dysfunction, infertility, or hormonal concerns in men
  • Incontinence or pelvic-floor symptoms in women
  • Childhood undescended testis, bedwetting, antenatal kidney findings
  • Suspected cancers of the kidney, bladder, prostate, or testis
  • Chronic kidney disease, dialysis planning, or transplant evaluation

If you're unsure whether your symptoms warrant a visit, simply call us — our team can guide you.

Not every stone needs surgery. The decision depends on the size, location, density, and the symptoms it's causing. Small stones (typically under 5 mm) in the lower ureter often pass naturally with adequate hydration and medication.

However, surgery becomes the safer choice when a stone is large, obstructing kidney drainage, causing infection, or impacting kidney function. Dr. Vidyakar offers the full range of modern, minimally invasive stone treatments:

  • RIRS (Retrograde Intra-Renal Surgery) with holmium laser — no incisions
  • PCNL (Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy) — for large or complex stones
  • URSL — for stones in the ureter
  • ESWL (shock-wave) — for select cases

You can usually go home the same day or the next morning. Bring any prior scan (X-ray, USG, CT-KUB) to your first visit so the right plan can be made immediately.

Patients with end-stage renal disease (ESRD) — typically those already on dialysis or approaching dialysis-dependence — are evaluated for transplantation. The decision rests on overall cardiac fitness, absence of active infection or cancer, and availability of a compatible donor (usually a close family member in living-donor transplants).

Dr. Vidyakar has been a part of over 1000 renal transplants and personally performed 14 as primary surgeon at KGH. The planning process at our clinic includes:

  • Detailed evaluation of the recipient: cardiac, infectious, and immunological work-up
  • Donor work-up: CT renal angiography, GFR, viral markers, psychological counselling
  • HLA typing and cross-match testing
  • Legal and ethical approvals as required under the Transplantation of Human Organs Act
  • Surgery at a fully equipped tertiary-care hospital with ICU back-up
  • Lifelong follow-up and immunosuppression management

If you or a family member are considering transplantation, please bring your latest reports — we'll guide you step by step.

Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) — an age-related enlargement of the prostate — is one of the most common conditions in men over 50. Symptoms include weak stream, frequent urination (especially at night), urgency, hesitancy, and a sense of incomplete emptying.

A proper diagnosis involves a clinical examination, uroflowmetry, post-void residual measurement, PSA blood test (to rule out prostate cancer), and ultrasound. Treatment is then individualised:

  • Lifestyle & medication — for mild to moderate symptoms; modern alpha-blockers and 5-ARI medications work very well
  • TURP (Transurethral Resection of the Prostate) — the gold-standard surgery for larger glands
  • Bipolar & laser TURP — for safer outcomes in patients on blood thinners
  • Open or laparoscopic prostatectomy — for very large glands

Don't accept weak flow as just "old age" — untreated BPH can damage the kidneys and bladder over years.

Yes. For genuine urological emergencies — acute urinary retention, severe loin pain, gross haematuria, testicular pain or torsion, post-operative concerns — please call +91 99593 83794 immediately. If Dr. Vidyakar is in surgery, you'll be guided to CARE Hospital (Yendada) or to the nearest hospital where he holds visiting consultant privileges (KGH, Apollo, Medicover Visakhapatnam) for immediate care.

In a life-threatening emergency, please go directly to the nearest hospital emergency room first — and inform us as you do.

Yes. The OPD consultation at the clinic is out-of-pocket and very reasonable. For inpatient procedures and surgeries performed at partner tertiary-care hospitals, most major health insurance providers and TPAs are accepted on a cashless or reimbursement basis, including Aarogyasri and corporate panels at the respective hospitals.

We're happy to help with pre-authorisation paperwork and to coordinate with your insurer's desk. Please bring your insurance card and ID proof on your first visit so we can confirm eligibility for your specific procedure.

Post-operative care at Hasitha Uro Care is structured and personal. For most minimally invasive surgeries (RIRS, PCNL, laparoscopy, TURP), patients are discharged within 24–48 hours with a clear written plan.

You'll typically receive:

  • Detailed instructions on diet, hydration, wound care, and activity restrictions
  • A medication chart with timings, dosages, and possible side effects
  • A scheduled follow-up — usually at 7 days, 4 weeks, and 3 months
  • Direct WhatsApp access for any urgent post-op queries
  • Stone composition analysis and dietary counselling (for stone surgery patients)
  • Long-term follow-up plan for cancer or transplant patients

We see every patient as a long-term relationship — recovery is monitored carefully and we encourage you to reach out whenever something doesn't feel right.
